i am a strange mix of a person politically
- i believe in Big Government because I believe its our responsibly to take care of the poor and the needly, the helpless. While I think it would be great if churches and non profits did this job themselves as conservatives suggest, I understand the way the world works and that most Churches and non profits don’t have enough money to take care of the whole world alone. I also believe that people are inherently self-seeking and will look to their own interests first, instead of the insert of other people. This is why 1% of the popultion holds most of the wealth. This is why people live in expensive homes two blocks away from where a homeless man is sleeping. I believe people should be taken care of, no matter what. I suppose this would be seen a liberal.
- I am anti-abortion because I believe a fetus is a stage of development in a child’s life. It becomes a baby, and a baby becomes a child, and a child becomes a teenager, and a teenager becomes and adult. And sometimes it seems you have very few rights until you get to that ‘adult’ stage. I believe in the rights of all people not to be killed, no matter what stage of development that person is in. I suppose this would be seen as conservative.
- I believe in gay rights not because I agree with homosexuality, but because I just don’t think its the governments job to regulate something of that sort. I believe they should have the same rights legally.
- I believe in traditional gender role for the most part. But I also believe people of both genders with the same ability should be payed the same amount for the same job.
- But mostly, i believe that every person is important and valuable and loved by the creator of the universe. I believe in humans treating each other like humans.
